Raid Weekend Box-Office Collection: Ajay Devgn's Crime Thriller Makes Rs 41.01 Crore

Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D'Cruz starrer Raid opened to good numbers at the box-office on Fridayand collected Rs 9.75 crore (approximately). Day 2 figures showed a raise of 38.04%, and now on Day 3, the film has shown growth once again.

On Day 3, the film collected Rs 17.11 Crore, which takes the overall weekend collection to Rs 41.01 Crore. Trade expert Taran Adarsh took to social media to share the news:

Taran's tweet read, "#Raid gets a THUMBS UP from audiences... Witnesses SOLID GROWTH on Sat + Sun... Strong word of mouth helps multiply numbers, after a mediocre start on Fri morning... Emerges SECOND HIGHEST WEEKEND of 2018... Fri 10.04 cr, Sat 13.86 cr, Sun 17.11 cr. Total: ₹ 41.01 cr. India biz (sic)."

Talking of the reviews, the film has got mixed reviews. While a few critics have found it an average work, others have appreciated Ajay for being the saviour.

The film is a pale shadow of director Rajkumar Gupta's earlier work. SpotboyE.com editor Vickey Lalwani gave the film two and a half stars.  He wrote, "There are no peaks and valleys, there are no twists and turns in the story, and as you settle down with your popcorn, you hope that the film will peak in the second half. But guess what! It ends so abruptly that you can clearly feel that Gupta didn't know what to do after a certain point."
