After a tepid Day One, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Sarbjit didn’t pick up pace over the weekend. The Randeep Hooda, Richa Chadda starrer managed to garner only Rs 12.49 crore over the first weekend.
While the film received mixed reviews, Randeep’s performance in the title role won praise from all quarters. So much so Amitabh Bachchan sent him a hand written letter appreciating his work in the movie.
Sarbjit is a biopic based on the life of Sarabjit Singh Atwal and his family members.
It was first presented at the Cannes Film Festival at France, and won applause from the audiences there.
