Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan and Kajol starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is based on one of the freedom fighters Tanhaji Malusare. This film has clashed with Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak but despite the clash, Tanhaji is roaring and scoring big at the box-office. Since the film has entered the second week, they are still continuing their winning streak. As it has been 10 days since the release of the film, it is still minting in double digits at the box-office which is quite a commendable job.
On day 10, the film has raked in Rs. 22.12 crores, taking the grand total to Rs. 167.45 crores at the domestic markets. In week 3, Tanhaji will make a spot for itself in the Rs. 200 crore club with full glory. That’s a remarkable feat and Om Raut’s directorial venture has the potential to make and break several records at the box-office. Speaking of which, the periodical film has gone past the lifetime number of his second-biggest grosser till date, Total Dhamaal, in just 10 days. The multi-starrer comedy which was released early last year had gathered Rs. 154.30 crores as its lifetime biz. Talking about the film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is an Indian biographical period drama film which is based on the life of the legendary fighter, Tanaji Malusare. The movie mainly focuses on the event which was occurred on 4th Feb 1670: The surgical strike that shook the Mughal Empire.
