If you couldn’t stop laughing while watching Jolly LLB back in 2013, then it’s time you hold on to your seats yet again in 2017, as Akshay Kumar brings back the courtroom drama to the big screen.

The trailer of Jolly LLB 2 is out and it looks promising. It starts with a courtroom scene which establishes humour as the highlight of the film. In one of the scenes Akshay's character can be seen questioning a witness. To prove the witness's dubious claims, Akshay throws this question at him, "Kya aap ko pata hai Salman Khan ki shaadi kab hogi?" The entire courtroom burst out laughing while the judge Saurabh Shukla grins in irritation.

The trailer moves forward to give viewers a sense of what’s in store and also introduces other characters of the film including Annu Kapoor (his arch rival), Kumud Mishra and Huma Qureshi who plays Akshay's wife. It gives a feel of a worthy, inspiring story & bravura performances working to its advantage. One can expect good cinema from Akshay Kumar with Jolly LLB 2. Right from sporting a thick moustache to the well-oiled side parted hair, Akshay has got his looks spot on for the role.

The first instalment- Jolly LLB released in 2013 and was written and directed by Subhash Kapoor. The film starred Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani and Amrita Rao in the lead roles. The film revolved around the early life of lawyer Jagdish Tyagi aka Jolly (played by Warsi) and focused on his attempt to earn six innocent wage earners their rights and his journey against the monopolistic behaviour of the rich and judicial corruption. The storyline was inspired by the 1999 hit-and-run case of Sanjeev Nanda and a minor reference to Priyadarshini Mattoo case. This one was quite a success at the box-office and received lot of accolades as well including two National Awards.

So, will Akshay Kumar live up to the expectations and takes the franchise ahead more successfully with Jolly LLB 2? Let’s see, when the film hits the theatres on February 10, 2017.
