After Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, Kabir Khan multi-starrer ‘83 has been postponed. Just a few mins back, Ranveer Singh took to Twitter to release the official statement. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Sahil Khatter, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi, Saqib Saleem among many others. Coronavirus pandemic has claimed over 10K lives globally. Now taking to Twitter, Ranveer Singh has announced that the release of his upcoming flick '83 has been put on hold. 

Sharing the official statement, Ranveer Singh wrote, “83 is not just our film but the entire nation’s film. But the health and safety of the nation always comes first. Stay safe, take care. We shall be back soon! @kabirkhankk @deepikapadukone @Shibasishsarkar #SajidNadiadwala @vishinduri @ipritamofficial @RelianceEnt” The film was slated to hit the screens on April 10, but due to Coronavirus Pandemic, the makers have decided to put the release on hold. 

The statement read, “In the wake of risk posed by the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and the growing health concerns, the release of 83 has been put on hold. We will take a decision regarding the next course of action once the conditions return to normal. We urge our fans to take all the necessary precautions and take care of their loved ones. 83 is a film about fighting the odds and we hope we all will bounce back from this soon. With love, team 83.”

Meanwhile, the film is already in news for its run time. Online reports state that the producers of 83 think that the film’s duration should be shorter than it actually has turned out to be.
