Indian model Paula shared her ordeal with fans and accused director Sajid Khan of sexual harassment. During the #MeToo movement back in 2018, filmmaker Sajid Khan was accused of sexual harassment by many actresses and even a journalist. In an Instagram post, Paula shared her ordeal, with the caption, “Before democracy dies and there is no freedom of speech anymore I thought I should speak!(sic.)” Now, #ArrestSajidKhan trends on social media after the model shares why she didn’t speak up during the #MeToo movement.

On Twitter, one social media tweeted, “He is habitual sex offender. He should be behind the bars. @Twitter should have provision of red tick instead of blue tick for these kind of monsters. #ArrestSajidKhan.” While another tweeted, “Sajid Khan is @FarOutAkhtar's cousin. Netizens started the trend #ArrestSajidKhan on Twitter and lashed out at the filmmaker. Many social media users also slammed Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, and Farhan Akhtar, for preaching smashing patriarchy on social media. They slammed the Akhtar for maintaining their silence over Sajid Khan’s #MeToo allegations. Many also demanded Housefull director Sajid Khan’s arrest as they continued to trend #ArrestSajidKhan. Meanwhile, Indian model Paula took to her Instagram to share her ordeal. Paula penned down her story and accused Sajid Khan of harassing her under the pretence of getting a role in his movie Housefull.
