Filmmaker-producer Karan Johar made a special announcement for all moviegoers and rom-com lovers. The filmmaker took to his social media to share a video, announcing his comeback. Karan said it is time to go back to his favourite place. He will be returning to create ‘eternal love stories’ from behind the lens. Johar posted the video and revealed he will be announcing his next film at 11 AM tomorrow. The filmmaker mentioned it is a very special story, ‘truly immersed in the roots of love and family’.

Taking to Twitter, Karan Johar wrote, “This is the beginning of a new journey & my way back home - all at once. It's time to go back to my favourite place, it's time to create some eternal love stories from behind the lens. A very special story, truly immersed in the roots of love and family.” The clip he shared features throwback moments from Karan Johar’s iconic films. It brings back beautiful romantic films the director has helmed during his illustrious career. The video featured clips from films-Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, My Name Is Khan, Student of the Year, Kabhi Alvinda Na Kehna, kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and others. It even saw behind the scenes videos from the making of Karan’s different films.

In a threaded tweet, the filmmaker added, “Announcing my next film tomorrow at 11 am, watch this space for more! @DharmaMovies @apoorvamehta18 (sic)” He said he is announcing his next film tomorrow at 11 AM. Meanwhile, Johar’s last directorial venture was the romantic drama film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film released in 2016 and featured Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Fawad Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Shah Rukh Khan featured in a cameo appearance. He then teamed up for an anthology film titled Lust Stories with Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, and Dibakar Banerjee. Karan’s segment featured Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal. The film released in 2018.
