‘Sulu Will Unleash My Naughty Side’, Says Vidya Balan On Her Next Tumhari Sulu
She might be busy promoting Kahaani 2 as of now, but Vidya Balan is all set for her next Tumhari Sulu where she will play an RJ for the second time in her career…
Vidya Balan is keeping really busy, and her projects are all interesting ones. The versatile actress will be seen as an RJ in Tumhari Sulu which is a joint venture by Ellipsis Entertainment and T-Series.
Talking about her next project Tumhari Sulu Vidya said, “Sulu is like that nimbu... you add nimbu for taste or then add it to balance taste; zesty & versatile! I think she'll unleash my naughty side.”
Vidya Balan will play the lead, Sulochana, fondly known as Sulu. Sulu lands herself an unexpected job of a beautiful, fun and feisty RJ who anchors a late-night show, known for its voyeuristic quality and semi-adult shenanigans. Vidya had earlier played a RJ in Rajkumar Hirani’s Lage Raho Munna Bhai with Sanjay Dutt back in 2006.
Tumhari Sulu will be directed by Suresh Triveni who is very excited about the project, “Tumhari Sulu has been handcrafted for Vidya (Balan) and to have her as a lead in my first feature is an honour. I look forward to seeing the story come alive as I have lived with it for almost a year now. I am delighted to have found great producers, Ellipsis and T-Series, for this incredible journey.”
Vidya Balan’s next is Kahaani 2 which will is slated to release on December 2. Besides Tumahri Sulu, Vidya Balan has commenced her homework to master the mannerism of Indian-English writer Kamala Surayya. Vidya is playing the revolutionary poetess in a bilingual biopic, to be directed by national award-winning Malayalam director Kamal.
Well, we’re sure that Vidya Balan’s fans will be eagerly waiting for both of these films where she plays totally diverse characters.
