In her latest interview, Swara Bhasker agreed with Naseeruddin Shah's comments on the coverage of Sushant Singh Rajput's death and called it 'sickening'

'Why Is It So Difficult To Accept That Sushant Singh Rajput May Have Been Depressed?' Asks Swara Bhasker
Sushant Singh Rajput's death on June 14 left everyone shell shocked. The actor reportedly died by suicide, however, days after his demise, Sushant's father filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty accusing her of abetment of suicide. While his death case is being widely covered by all, Naseeruddin Shah recently called the coverage around Sushant's death 'sickening' and Swara Bhasker agreed with him. The actress also raised a question as to why it is difficult for people to accept that Sushant Singh Rajput was depressed.

To India Today, Swara Bhasker said and was quoted, "Why is it so difficult for people to accept that he may have been depressed? I read an article where someone said that he didn’t look depressed, what theory is that? How can someone ‘look’ it?” She further went on to add, “Just because someone is famous, doesn’t mean things can’t be wrong. We as a society need to give more importance to mental health."

Agreeing with Naseeruddin Shah's comments on the coverage of Sushant's death, the Nil Battey Sanata actress stated that it is sickening to see conspiracy theories on social media and media houses. She was quoted saying,"I absolutely agree with Naseer Sir. In fact I have been saying this from many days. You can see it on my social media, that it's absolutely sickening to see how social media and many media houses have started their conspiracy theories and have been fanning lies to the public.”
