Akshay Kumar starrer Singh is Kinng comepletes 11 years of its release.  The action comedy film opened to a thunderous response at the box office and was a commercial hit! The film released when Akshay Kumar’s popularity was at its peak and unmatched. The film that released in 2008 was a blockbuster and broke records. Singh is Kinng was Akshay Kumar’s biggest hit for 2 years until his 2010 film Housefull broke the record in 2010. The film was a total entertainer and left an impact on its viewers.

Not many films manage to make an impact on its audience and is forgotten almost immediately after watching it. However, Singh is Kinng left a mark and is still remembered even 11 years later. The film, directed by Anees Bazmee, starred Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Akshay Kumar had been nominated for the Asian Film Awards in the Best Actor category for his performance in Singh Is Kinng. Renowned American rapper Snoop Dogg sang a version of the title song Singh Is King and also appeared in the music video which plays at the end of movie. Singh Is Kinng was the first film which collected more than 99 crore in India.
