Salman Khan and Bhagyashree's chemistry in Maine Pyar Kiya was loved by all. The film was a hit and it even set a successful career path for Salman. However, the actor was against kissing on-screen even back then. Salman Khan never endorsed kissing in his films as he feels that his movies are meant for everyone in the family and such intimate scenes should not be a part of family entertainers. Meanwhile, actress Bhagyashree in her latest interview has recalled an incident when Salman was asked to kiss her for a photographer.

In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, she stated that a renowned photographer back then asked Salman to catch her and smooch her without her consent just to get a 'HOT' shot. She was quoted saying, "He wanted to take some not-so-complimentary photographs of Salman and me some sort of “hot” photographs. So, he took Salman aside and told him, ‘Main jab camera set up karunga (When I set up the camera), you just catch her and smooch her.’ All of us were new-comers and this photographer thought he had the liberty to do something like that. Back then, smooching scenes were not prevalent. I don’t think he or Salman knew that I was standing by very close and could hear every word."

However, it was Salman Khan's reaction that made her feel safe. She revealed that Salman sternly said no to making any such move and told the photographer that he should take Bhagyashree's consent. She said, "For a second, I remained shocked, but just then, I heard Salman say, ‘I am not going to do anything of that sort. If you want any pose like that, you need to ask Bhagyashree.’ I really respected Salman’s response, and that’s when I realised I was among safe people."
