Anurag Kashyap hosted a grand engagement bash for his daughter Aaliyah Kashyap and her fiance Shane Gregoire in Mumbai on Thursday night
Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap has been making the headlines for quite some time now. She had left her fans ecstatic when she announced her engagement to her boyfriend Shane Gregoire in May, this year. Thursday night was filled with glitz and glamour as the couple hosted an engagement ceremony for their industry friends. It is safe to say that everyone who marked their attendance on May 3 left everyone in awe with their ensembles.
The pictures and videos from the event are currently going viral on social media and netizens are going gaga over the guest list. The event was attended by Anurag’s ex-wife Kalki Koechlin and her family, consisting of her boyfriend Guy Hershberg and their daughter Sappho. Imtiaz Ali too attended the party with his daughter Ida Ali. The younger crowd consisted of Aaliyah’s friends like Suhana Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Palak Tiwari, Alaya F, Anjali Dhawan, Agastya Nanda and many more. For the occasion, the happy couple twinned in white for the engagement party. While the bride-to-be was dressed in Anita Dogre's white raw-silk lehenga, Shane was seen wearing a white sherwani which he paired with an embroidered light-green jacket. Talking about how they had met each other, in one of her vlogs, Aaliyah had recalled that they met on a dating app, where she was the one to swipe on him first. She added, “On Hinge, it’s like, you swipe on them, and then there is a like section where you can see who has liked you. And then, you can either like them back or ignore it. So he liked me back and we spoke.”
For the unversed, Aaliyah is Anurag’s only daughter from his marriage to his first ex-wife Aarti Bajaj. They split in 2009, after tying the knot in 2003.
