Aamir Khan’s Dangal Creates A New Record, Releases In 9000+ Screens In China
Drum rolls for Aamir Khan’s Dangal! It has set a brand new record in China as the film has released in about 9000+ screens across the country today. This is said to be the widest release for an Indian film in any territory.

In China, which has nearly 40,000 screens, Dangal will release as Shuai Jiao Baba, which means “Let’s Wrestle, Dad”.

Just last month, Aamir Khan and Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari were in China to promote the film, which officially opened this year’s edition of the Beijing International Film Festival. The fans were very excited seeing Aamir at the airport. Even the star did not disappoint his fans and obliged them with autographs and selfies. Khan even distributed white caps to them with Dangal written on it.

While talking to a leading daily earlier about Dangal’s response at the Film Festival, Nitesh Tiwari had said, “The response was overwhelming. [Securing] such a wide release shows the kind of confidence the audience has in our film. Like it did in other countries, I am optimistic that Dangal will do well in China too. It’s reassuring that the team’s work has found global acceptance and appreciation.”

Interestingly, Aamir Khan’s PK, which released in half the number of screens as compared to Dangal, had registered Rs 140 cr at the box-office in China. And now, with Dangal releasing in double the amount of screens, it might just break PK’s record and become the highest grossing Indian film in China.

Well, we’re sure Aamir Khan’s fans will be elated with Dangal’s latest achievement.
