Aashiqui fame and Bigg Boss 1 winner Rahul Roy, suffered a brain stroke recently. The actor suffered a brain stroke on the sets of his upcoming project, in Kargil. He was then moved to Srinagar immediately and shifted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital. Through the week, Roy’s family has been with him. His sister and brother-in-law are doing their best in giving the actor proper care. Now, according to a report, Rahul Roy is set to play a stroke victim in his new film. The film will be directed by filmmaker Nitin Kumar Gupta and it is titled ‘Stroke’.

Speaking with Mumbai Mirror, director Nitin Kumar Gupta, who has been in close contact with Rahul Roy’s family said that the actor was taken home by his sister on Monday. He mentioned that the actor will continue speech therapy. Talking about Rahul and his film together, titled Sayonee, Gupta said, “This will be his first release after the stroke and while other producers might be hesitant to work with him for a while, I plan to launch my next with him in February. It’s a murder mystery titled Stroke. Coincidentally, the film’s protagonist, played by Rahul, witnesses a murder but is unable to name the murderer because he has suffered a stroke. We are mixing reality with fiction.”

Nitin Kumar Gupta continued to share how the film Sayonee will be Rahul’s first release after the stroke. He also mentioned that even though producers are hesitant to work with him for some time, Gupta shared that he plans to launch his film with Rahul Roy in February. He revealed the film is a murder movie titled Storke. Nitin said, “This will be his first release after the stroke and while other producers might be hesitant to work with him for a while, I plan to launch my next with him in February. Meanwhile, Rahul was shooting for LAC - Live The Battle, when he suffered the stroke. The incident happened due to the extreme weather conditions of the region. Earlier this week, Rahul Roy shared a picture of him from the hospital, with his sister Pia Grace Roy and his brother Rohit, who is in Canada. The actor updated fans about his health and shared the happy pictures of him recovering.
