Rahul Roy Is Back Home From The Hospital After Suffering A Stroke; Actor To Continue With His Speech Therapy
Yesterday, Rahul Roy was discharged from the hospital and is back home. His LAC director Nitin Gupta revealed that he will continue with his speech therapy and will start shooting for LAC from February next year
Bollywood actor Rahul Roy was recently admitted to hospital after he suffered a stroke in Kargil. Rahul was enjoying the cold weather in Kargil after wrapping up the schedule of Nitin Kumar Gupta’s directorial LAC where he suffered a mini-stroke which affected his speech. Rahul was then air dashed from Kargil to Srinagar and then to Mumbai where he was admitted to the Nanavati Hospital. While his health updates often made headlines, he recently posted a picture with sister Pia and her husband on his social media handle assuring his fans that he’s back on his feet.
Rahul Roy was discharged yesterday and is back home from the hospital. His LAC director Nitin Gupta revealed that he will continue with his speech therapy and will start shooting for LAC from February next year. LAC director Nitin Kumar Gupta spoke to Mumbai Mirror and revealed that he met Rahul on Monday and hugged him. “But I was the one who did most of the talking. He was joking about resuming shoot. The doctors were ready to release him on Monday, but paperwork took time. His sister took him home the following day,” he told the portal.
He further added, “He just has trouble speaking certain words, his speech therapy will go on for a while. The therapist will come home every day to work with him.”
Further speaking about Rahul’s work, Nitin also said, “This will be his first release after the stroke and while other producers might be hesitant to work with him for a while, I plan to launch my next with him in February. It’s a murder mystery titled Stroke. Coincidentally, the film’s protagonist, played by Rahul, witnesses a murder but is unable to name the murderer because he has suffered a stroke.
