Ever since Bejoy Nambiar announced Focus a few years ago, the project has undergone several changes. First, the film’s then director, Akarsh Khurana opted out of the project film due to creative differences with Nambiar. Then, Arvind Swamy who was reportedly brought on-board as the male lead was replaced by Rajkummar Rao.

Now, SpotboyE.com has it that the Rajkummar too is no longer associated Focus. In fact, Bejoy is not producing it anymore either.
What lead to such major changes? A source close to the film reveals, “Bejoy’s production house was facing losses. As a result, the film was put on the backburner.”

SpotboyE.com also has it that Ronnie Screwvala will produce the film under the same title and has brought Abhishek Bachchan and Irrfan Khan on-board.
Recently, Irrfan made headlines when he debuted on Instagram. The actor shared three of his childhood photos and his passion for cinema is quite evident even then. In the first picture, Irrfan is seen recreating the famous Jai and Viru moment where Dharmendra sits on Amitabh’s shoulders playing the harmonica. The second snap has the actor riding a horse, while the third photograph features Irrfan posing like Gabbar Singh from Sholay.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, we told you that Pooja Hegde has bagged a role opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Nishikant Kamat’s next. The film will be produced by KriArj entertainment and Kyta Productions and will go on floors by mid-July.
