Prabhas starrer upcoming mythological drama ‘Adipurush’ gets a new release date!
Om Raut’s forthcoming mythological drama ‘Adipurush’ starring South superstar Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan is one of the most highly-awaited movies of 2023. Several intriguing teasers and posters of the movie have already left fans quite excited as they are eagerly waiting to see this masterpiece on the silver screen. However, fans of ‘Adipurush’ now have to wait a bit longer as its release date has been postponed. Yes, you read that right!
‘Adipurush’ which was earlier slated to release on January 12, 2023, will now hit the theatres on June 16, 2023. Announcing the new release date, Om Raut shared a statement on his social media handles and explained that with an aim to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, they need to give more time to the teams working on the film.
The statement read, “Adipurush is not a film, but a representation of our devotions to Prabhu Shri Ram and commitment towards our sanskriti and history. In order to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on the film. Adipurush will now release on June 16th, 2023. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, the actioner will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada in 3D and IMAX. Made on a whopping budget of Rs. 500 crores, ‘Adipurush’ will center around Raghava, played by Prabhas who travels to Lanka with his sena Laxman and Hanuman to rescue his wife Janaki (Kriti Sanon). Saif will be seen playing the role of Lankesh who kidnaps Janaki.
