Adipurush: Saif Ali Khan Opens Up On Playing Lankesh In Kriti Sanon-Prabhas Co-Starrer; ‘We Will Justify Raavan's Abduction Of Sita And The War With Ram’

Saif Ali Khan is on roll and how! The actor, who was in Himachal Pradesh to shoot for Bhoot Police along with Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez, was accompanied by her wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and baby boy Taimur Ali Khan. Saif was last seen in late Sushant Singh Rajput’s film Dil Bechara and now has Om Raut’s Adipurush lined up. Adipurush will see the Nawab Pataudi portraying the character of Raavan, the lead antagonist Lankesh.
Now, during his latest interview, Saif Ali Khan opened up about playing Lankesh in the film. Saif said it’s interesting to play a demon king. He further added that they will make Raavan look humane and justify his abduction of Sita. Speaking to Mumbai Mirror Saif Ali Khan said, “It’s interesting to play a demon king, less strictures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose.”
A while back, Kriti Sanon made headlines when she joined the cast of Adipurush alongside Saif and Prabhas. Speaking about Kriti Sanon joining the Adipurush cast, a source close to the development had revealed to Mumbai Mirror, “After considering several top names, from both the Hindi and Telugu industries, they decided on Kriti. She will play the character with grace and dignity. It will mostly be shot in the studio against a chroma screen.”
“Om and Bhushan have been talking to VFX technicians of international repute, who have worked on films like Avatar and Star Wars, to make the shooting process smooth and mount the film on a certain scale,” the source added.
