Aditya Pancholi Files For Anticipatory Bail In Connection To A Rape Case
Earlier on Monday, Aditya Pancholi filed an anticipatory bail in Dindoshi sessions court after he was reportedly booked by Versova Police station in a rape case. The anticipatory bail is due for hearing on Tuesday. After a Bollywood actress accused him of rape, the Versova police station registered a rape and assault case against Aditya Pancholi.

According to a report in Mid-Day, the Deputy of Police (DCP) Paramjit Singh Dahiya said, “We filed an FIR under Sections 376 (rape), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc with intent to commit an offence), 384 (punishment for extortion), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code".

Aditya Pancholi in response to these reports told ANI over a telephonic conversation that these are false charges and that he has the evidence to prove the same. The actor said, "I am being falsely implicated in this case. I have all the evidence and video in this case. I am ready to cooperate with the Mumbai Police. If they will call me for my statement, then I will cooperate. I am ready for investigation. I knew that a case will be registered against me. I am not going anywhere. The police have not approached me after the FIR was registered.”


Pancholi has been involved with this actress in a feud since a long time now. Recently, Pancholi also filed a case of defamation in turn to this actress’ police complaint, denying to the charges put on him.
