The Brand Ambassador of Assam Tourism Priyanka Chopra who was trolled for not saying anything on the mishap, took to her Twitter account and shared a heartbreaking post

After Netizens Mercilessly Troll Priyanka Chopra For Her Apparent Apathy Over Assam Floods, Actress Doles Out Tweet Saying She’s “Devastated”
Assam is facing a serious crisis as floods in the state have already claimed at least 15 lives. Priyanka Chopra, who also happens to be the brand ambassador of Assam Tourism was trolled for not saying anything about the ongoing incident. However, the actress recently shared a 'heartbreaking' post about the mishap and urges her fans and followers to donate some amount.

Sharing the post on Twitter, she wrote, "Extremely devasted by all the news coming in from #Assam and other parts of India.  It’s heartbreaking to read about the displacement and loss of life. My prayers with those affected." She also shared a link where people can make a donation. 


As per reports, more than 45 lakh people have been affected in 4,620 villages, with 1,01,085 people taking refuge in 226 relief camps. As many as 562 distribution centers have been set up to provide relief to the affected.


Recently, as Sophie Turner was nominated in the Supporting Actress category for her portrayal of Sansa Stark in HBO’s massively successful and controversial series, Game Of Thrones, her 'J sister' Priyanka Chopra shared a few photos of herself and Sophie. Talking about PeeCee's work life, the Quantico actress will be seen in The Sky Is Pink which is based on a real-life story of motivational speaker Aisha, played by Zaira Wasim, who was affected by pulmonary fibrosis. Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar play parents to Zaira. The film is directed by Shonali Bose and will hit theatres on October 11, 2019.
