After Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor Walks Out Of Luv Ranjan's Next For Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana?
With rumours rife about Deepika Padukone's exit from Luv Ranjan's next project and Shraddha Kapoor taking her place, there is now a recent development. Reportedly, Shraddha Kapoor is in talks with Nitesh Tiwari for his period saga Ramayana and looks like she has made a choice and is keen on working with Nitesh Tiwari over Luv Ranjan
Looks like there is no stopping Shraddha Kapoor as both her recent films Saaho with Prabbhas and Chhichhore co starring Sushant Singh Rajput were a success at the box office and crossed the 100 crore mark. She also has an interesting line-up of upcoming films and will be seen in Street Dancer 3D along with Varun Dhawan and also in Baaghi 3 opposite Tiger Shroff. With so many projects already, there were also recent rumours about Deepika Padukone's exit from Luv Ranjan's next project and Shraddha Kapoor taking her place. However, there is yet another development and if these reports are to be believed, Luv Ranjan's film yet to find it's leading lady after Deepika and now Shraddha reportedly walk out of the project.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Shraddha Kapoor has turned down Luv Ranjan's project as she was approached by Chhichhore director Nitesh Tiwari for his ambitious period drama Ramayana for the lead role of Sita. Interestingly, there had also been speculations that Deepika Padukone would play the role of Sita in Ramayana, but looks like now Shraddha Kapoor is in talks with the director for the role. A trade source told Bollywood Hungama, "It’s true that Shraddha was approached for Luv Ranjan’s next, as the female lead opposite Ranbir Kapoor and she was extremely excited as the offer came from the superhit filmmaker and she has never worked with Ranbir before. But she got the Ramayana offer and apparently, had to turn it down as those dates of both movies (shooting begins next year) were clashing. Ramayana won’t start till 2020 and she is also busy with her other movies (Street Dancer 3D and Baaghi 3) which will be complete before Nitesh’s movie begins.”
The source further adds, "Shraddha is definitely in talks for the role of Sita. If Shraddha signs Ramayana, it would also mean her choosing Hrithik over Ranbir (Luv Ranjan’s film) and she has not worked with the senior actor too, earlier." If these reports are true, Luv Ranjan is once again left without a leading lady for his next project!
Meanwhile, both of Shraddha Kapoor's upcoming films will release next year in 2020. Her action thriller Baaghi 3 directed by Ahmed Khan will also star Tiger Shroff and Riteish Deshmukh. On the other hand, her dance drama film Street Dancer 3D also starring Varun Dhawan, Nora Fatehi and Prabhu Deva in lead roles is scheduled to release on January 24, 2020.
