Following filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s ex-wives Aarti Bajai and actress Kalki Koechlin, coming in support of him, now filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has stood by Anurag. The filmmaker penned a tweet mentioning about extending his support towards the Gangs of Wasseypur director against the sexual assault allegations put on him by Bengali actress Payal Ghosh. This news of Payal Ghosh opening up on her disgraceful incident in the recent past grabbed everyone’s attention. She mentioned the filmmaker sexually assaulting her in the year 2014-15. 

The Daud director who has worked with Anurag on shooting Satya (1998) in his Tweet mentioned of Anurag being a highly sensitive and emotional individual, also he had never seen him or heard about him hurting anyone since they have known each other. Hence, he expressed it's hard to believe what has been spoken about him in society recently. His Tweet read, “The @anuragkashyap72 i know is a highly sensitive and emotional person and I never ever saw or heard about him hurting anyone in all of the 20 years that I have known him ..So I frankly can’t picture what’s happening now.”

RGV and Anurag Kashyap have worked together on the films which include Satya, Shool and Kaun.

Anurag’s first wife Aarti called this allegation a cheap stunt in her social media post, supporting her ex-husband.

Meanwhile, his second ex-wife Kalki Koechlin, supporting Anurag stated not allowing this media circus to take over him, Kalki’s social media post read, “Dear Anurag, Don’t let this social media circus get to you, you have fought for the freedom of women in your scripts, you’ve defended their integrity in your professional space as well as in your personal life…”
