After Helping Migrants Reach Home Safely, Sonu Sood Now Vouches To Help Them Find Jobs; Sets Up An App For Jobseekers
Sonu Sood has now set up an App to help migrant workers find jobs amidst Coronavirus crisis. This comes after he helped thousands of migrant workers reach home safely during a pandemic.
The strict lockdown by the Government in India to curb the Coronavirus crisis proved to be a nightmare for migrant workers. With all the means of transportation shut, workers had to walk miles to reach their native place to be with family during the tough times. However, it was Bollywood actor Sonu Sood who came to their rescue. The actor arranged for several buses and flight tickets for the workers stuck in cities to reach their homes safely. Now going a step forward, Sonu has even set up an App to help these migrant workers find jobs and earn money during the pandemic.
The App has been named as Pravasi Rojgar and it will strive to bring employment to migrant workers. In a statement, Sonu Sood said, "Lot of thinking, planning and preparation have gone into designing this initiative over the last few months, in order to ensure that it is holistic and builds on the work already being done in the country. Extensive consultations have been held with top organisations that are involved at the grassroots level in skilling and placing the youth below the poverty line, NGOs, philanthropic organisations, government functionaries, strategy consultants, technology startups and above all the returned whom I have helped."
Reportedly Pravasi Rojgar is connected with around 500 companies that will help generate employment in several sectors like engineering, automobile, healthcare and more.
