After IPL 2020, Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, And More To Own Teams In Lanka Premier League?
The Indian Premier League is one of the most anticipated cricketing tournaments. Fans of the sport look forward to it with utmost enthusiasm. Adding more power to it, some of the teams are owned by well-known celebrities. Team Kolkata Knight Riders is owned by Shah Rukh Khan, Kings IX Punjab is owned by Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia, and more. And well, if the latest reports are anything to go by then this star power will also get attached to the Lanka Premier League organised by the neighbouring country Sri Lanka.

As per a report in Mumbai Mirror. Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia and Mohit Burman have been approached to be the team owners in Lanka Premiere Leagues. Names of stars like Abhishek Bachchan and Ronnie Screwvala have also been mentioned. The report further claims that efforts are also being made to 'woo' Shah Rukh Khan to become a part of the Lanka Premier League.

The league organised by Sri Lanka is expected to begin right after the Indian Premier League 2020 comes to an end. Currently, all the cricketers and IPL team members are in Dubai, practicing for the upcoming tournament. IPL 2020 is expected to begin in September 2020 and will come to an end in November. Nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet.

While all the other teams are gearing up with full power, Chennai Super Kings have suffered several setbacks. After Suresh Raina's exit, Harbhajan Singh too announced that he won't be participating in the league this year due to personal reasons. He tweeted, "Dear Friends I will not be playing IPL this year due to personal reasons. These are difficult times and I would expect some privacy as I spend time with my family.  @ChennaiIPL CSK management has been extremely supportive and I wish them a great IPL Stay safe and Jai Hind."
