After Marrying Himanshu Sharma, Newlywed Kanika Dhillon Showers Praise On Husband; Says He Has Set A ‘High Benchmark As A Companion’
During her first interview after marriage, Kedarnath writer Kanika Dhillon showered praise on her husband Himanshu Sharma and said he has set a high benchmark as a companion. The couple got married two days back
After getting engaged in an intimate ceremony, last year, Manmarizyan and Kedarnath writer Kanika Dhillon and writer Himanshu Sharma tied the knot, in a hush-hush wedding two days back. Kanika, was earlier married to filmmaker Prakash Kovelamudi, ended her first marriage in August 2019. Himanshu, on the other hand, was in a relationship with Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker. During her first interview after marriage, Kanika showers praises on her husband and said, Himanshu has set a high benchmark as a companion.
Speaking to Times Of India, newlywed Kanika said, “Himanshu had just wrapped up Atrangi Re. Our families were here with us at that time. We thought we may not get a better opportunity to bring everyone who matters to us together so easily. So, we decided to get married in their presence and with their blessings. Even the engagement had happened in a similar fashion because both of us are swamped with work, and in the present times, it’s very difficult to have everyone around us at the same time. COVID19 is still here. The pandemic is still not over, and so the wedding had to be quick, and somewhat, impromptu.”
“Himanshu had been doing up his new house while juggling all the work on his plate. It was difficult but he did it for us. There are just a few final touches left now,” Kanika added further.
Spilling the beans on her relationship with Himanshu, Mrs. Sharma said, “It’s a complete win-win to have someone so inspiring as a life-partner. There’s never a dull moment between us. Himanshu and I are never at a loss of words which makes things very exciting. Himanshu, as a companion, is the kind of person who will only help you blossom as a person and as a professional. We do end up discussing work when one of us is stuck somewhere. He has set a high benchmark as a companion.
