Ailing Sonali Bendre Finds Her Inspiration In Cancer-Survivor, Manisha Koirala

Sonali Bendre’s news about her suffering from high-grade cancer shook the nation. As soon as Sonali made an official statement about her ailment, Bollywood came out to support in large numbers. While some wished her strength and courage, some wished her love, positivity, and prayers. Sonali who is currently undergoing treatment in New York, has now thanked everyone for their wishes.

Manisha Koirala, who trounced ovarian cancer, boosted Sonali’s confidence to stay strong through these tough times. Taking to Twitter, Manisha wrote, “@iamsonalibendre by the grace of god all will be fine and you will be back home soon with good news sending love n prayers my friend.”

To which, Sonali immediately replied, “Thank you Manisha, you are my inspiration.”

And Manisha’s reply to Sonali is winning hearts. She replied, saying, “love you babe..and trust me you will shine more once its all done..more power to you sister!! we all are waiting for you here eagerly..healthy and strong!!”

Isn’t that heart-rending?

For those who haven"t yet read  Sonali's statement, we reproduce it below:

"Sometimes, when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with high-grade cancer that has metastised, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis. My family and close friends have rallied around me, providing the best support system that anyone can ask for. I am very blessed and thankful for each of them.

There is no better way to tackle this than to take swift and immediate action. And so, as advised by my doctors, I am currently undergoing a course of treatment in New York. We remain optimistic and I am determined to fight every step of the way. What has helped has been the immense outpouring of love and support I’ve received over the past few days, for which I am very grateful.

I’m taking this battle head-on, knowing I have the strength of my family and friends behind me."
