A major fire broke out, a few hours ago, at La Mer in
Bandra, on the 13th floor of the building. 5 fire brigades were called
immediately to the spot and they have successfully doused the fire. No casualty
has been reported.
This is the same high rise where Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
resided before marriage. Aishwarya’s
mother, Brinda Rai still stays on the 12th floor of the
building. In fact, some of Aishwarya’s wedding functions took place
at La Mer, including the Mehendi ceremony.
Besides Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s mother, Sachin
Tendulkar’s mother-in-law also stays in the same building. In fact, the fire
broke out due to short-circuit at Sachin Tendulkar’s mother-in-law’s house.
