A fictional story revolving around India's freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem who fought against the British Raj and the Nizam of Hyderabad was set into motion on November 2018 in Hyderabad.
We have it that the RRR, which is obviously an abbreviation of something, stands for Raghupati Raghav Rajaram. This decision was taken quite sometime back but has been kept under the wraps.
RRR, err, Raghupati Raghav Rajaram, should be an intriguing film, its first schedule- an action sequence was shot at Aluminium factory, Hyderabad. The film marks the South Indian cinema debut of Devgan and Alia. Hollywood actors Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Alison Doody are also said to be playing major roles.A PIX
The film was slated for a July 30, 2020 release. However, it stands postponed to a new release date of January 8, 2021.
