Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural show Naagin 4 is winning hearts of the audience, with the show garnering good TRPs too. With the show makers getting in some popular names in its fourth instalment such as Nia Sharma, Jasmin Bhasin, and Sayantani Ghosh, now it’s time to bid goodbye to one of them. Following Jasmin Bhasin’s exit from the show, now yet another actress will bid goodbye to the show. This time around it is Sayantani Ghosh and the news was confirmed by the actress to a daily.

In conversation with Times of India, Sayantani confirmed of her track coming to an end. According to her, it was creative team’s call to kill her character which will leave the audience on a hook, wondering what will happen next. She was quoted saying, “Yes, my character is winding up. As a show, Naagin has to keep the audience on the edge of their seats and hence, the team has to introduce high points and shockers at every stage. The creative team has decided that killing my character would serve as a big high point.”

Talking about her attachment to the team and parting ways with them being an emotional one she said, “See, parting is never easy, as you get attached to the team. As an artist, you feel bad, but such is the nature of this industry. Also, no character is above the show. Though the show is doing well, it hasn’t matched up to the last seasons’ ratings, yet. In my 15 years of experience, I have understood that TV shows are governed by the ratings. I hope that the track, which marks my exit, works. That will be a big consolation."


The actress was the first one to be roped in to play the titular role of Naagin in its first installment, hence her re-entry on the show’s 4th installment created a lot of excitement.
