2021 has got superstar Ajay Devgn extremely busy with his work commitments. After commencing the shoot of his upcoming venture, Mayday co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Boman Irani and more, he began shooting for his yet another venture, Maidaan. Now it is reported in Pinkvilla, that the actor will begin shooting for movie maverick Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi soon. As per reports, the actor will be seen playing Karim Lala in the movie that stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role.
The actor will begin filming for his portion by the end of February and has allocated 10-12 days for this project. The actor has accommodated SLB’s film schedule in between his Maidaan’s shooting schedule. Meanwhile, his Maidaan director will shoot with remaining stars, while Ajay shoots for Gangubai Kathiawadi. The source informing the publication shared, “Ajay will start filming from February-end and has allocated 10-12 days for the shoot. He will squeeze in Gangubai’s schedule amidst Maidaan’s ongoing shoot. Amit will continue filming with other actors while Ajay will be busy with Gangubai Kathiawadi.”
The source further added a set is being erected in a studio in Mumbai which will be Ajay's onscreen character’s home. “At present, a set of his character's house is being created in a Mumbai studio,” added the source.
The source also informed the actor will be shooting with Alia, “The sequences will feature him and Alia both,” informs the source. This SLB’s venture is an inspiration taken from one of the chapters of writer Hussain Zaidi’s novel Mafia Queens of Mumbai.
