Akshay Kumar recently took to Twitter to share a throwback picture of him cycling to raise awareness about underprivileged kids in India not getting sufficient meals to sustain themselves.

Akshay Kumar Cycles His Way To The Past For A Cause, Urges Mission Mangal Ladies To Do The Same!
Akshay Kumar is currently riding high on the success of his recently released film Mission Mangal. The film is based on India’s first interplanetary expedition to Mars in the form of MOM (Mars Orbiter Mission). Akshay Kumar had the company of stars like Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, and Kriti Kulhari. On Tuesday, Akshay once again sought the help of these ladies to raise awareness about kids in India who can't even afford to buy a single meal a day.

 

Akshay shared a throwback picture of him cycling with the caption, “Growing up I was always inclined towards sports & my mom ensured I got nutritious home-cooked meals to fuel my passion.But 11,72,604 children in India can’t afford even a single meal a day!It’s time to ask #WhyTheGap with @stc_india.” He further tagged Vidya, Taapsee, Sonakshi, Kirti and Nithya.

 




 



Well, trust Akshay to be on his toes when it comes to making India a better place to live. We hope the ladies take up the challenge and share some good throwback pictures to help the cause.

 
Coming back to Mission Mangal, the film has done amazingly well at the box office. The film that released on Independence Day has raked in approximately Rs 105 crore so far. It registered the fifth-highest first Monday of the year 2019.  Kabir Singh, URI: The Surgical Strike, Total Dhamaal and Bharat hold the first four positions. This despite having competition from John Abraham’s Batla House which also did well at the box office.
