Akshay Kumar Donates Rs 1 Crore To Gautam Gambhir’s Foundation In Fight Against COVID-19; Former Cricketer Calls Actor 'Ray Of Hope'
With several Bollywood figures once again coming forward to help the nation hit by the second of COVID-19, Khiladi, Akshay Kumar has joined the league. The actor has donated Rs 1 Cr to former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir’s foundation working for the people battling the Novel Coronavirus. This kind gesture of the actor got the cricketer announcing it on Twitter and thanking him for the same. Also, Akki was too humble to respond to it and thus once again won the hearts of his fans.

This huge amount donated by the Mission Mangal actor will help the cricketer’s foundation help the ones in need for food, medicines and oxygen. He called Akki’s this generous step as a 'ray of hope'. Gautam Gambhir tweeted, “Every help in this gloom comes as a ray of hope. Thanks a lot  @akshaykumar for committing Rs 1 crore to #GGF for food, meds and oxygen for the needy! God bless #InThisTogether @ggf_india” Responding to it Akshay Kumar mentioned that he is glad that he could help in such tough times.

Akshay Kumar had tested positive for COVID-19 recently. He contracted the virus as he began shooting for Ram Setu. Fortunately with the right measures; he has recovered from the virus.

On the work front, it is speculated that the actor is being considered for Dostana 2 after Kartik Aaryan’s sudden exit from it.
