After having a tough year at the box-office, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is all set to release his first film of 2023. The actor will be collaborating with Emraan Hashmi for the very first time for the upcoming movie Selfiee. The movie also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty in pivotal roles. Ahead of the trailer release, the actors took to their social media handle, to promote their film by clicking a selfie with Aishawarya Rai Bachchan’s poster from Bunty Aur Babli’s superhit song Kajra Re.
Both dressed in black, the actors shared the selfie on their Instagram handles. While, Akshay Kumar wrote, “When I and @therealemraan tried to match kaale kaale naina with kaale kaale clothes #Selfiee @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb,” Emraan kept his caption simple. For the unversed, the upcoming movie is an official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film 'Driving License'. The original film starred Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles. Directed by Raj Mehta, Selfiee is all set to release on February 24th. It is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta and Listin Stephen.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar is all set to make his Marathi debut with Mahesh Manjrekar directorial Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. He will be seen playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He also has movies like The Biopic Of Jaswant Singh Gill and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in the pipeline.
