Akshay Kumar Is Doting Over These Innocent Smiles On-The-Sets Of Kesari

Even before Pad Man hit silver screens, Akshay Kumar began shooting for Kesari. A while ago Akshay Kumar posted a picture on Twitter with a few kids from the sets of Kesari.

He captioned the snap, “Innocent smiles galore on set today! Shooting with these lovely children playing Afghani kids in #Kesari based on the Battle Of Saragarhi, one of the bravest battles fought in India.”

Parineeti Chopra, who essays the role of his wife in the film also responded to the tweet and wrote, “Look at all this beauty. Cant wait to start shooting !! ️ @akshaykumar @karanjoharLook at all this beauty.

A few days ago, Akshay released his look from the film where he is seen donning a saffron turban. He captioned the snap, “Feeling nothing but immense pride and gratitude while sharing this. Beginning my 2018 with #KESARI, my most ambitious film and a lot of passion. Need your best wishes as always. @dharmamovies @iAmAzure @SinghAnurag79.”

He will essay the role of Havildar Ishar Singh in the film.

Talking about Kesari, the film had its fair share of controversies. Kesari was said to be a joint venture between Salman Khan Films and Dharma Productions. However, Salman backed out, and that's when Akshay came on-board as the co-producer. SpotboyE.com told you that Akshay Kumar hired Salman Khan’s ex-manager Reshma Shetty, which didn’t go down well with him thus, he opted out of Kesari. Interestingly, the battle of Saragarhi has been a bone of contention between Akshay, Ajay Devgn and Randeep Hooda with all three wanting to make a film on the same subject.

Coming back to Kesari, directed by Anurag Singh, the film will hit theatres on Holi 2019.
