Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi And Ranveer Singh '83 Finally Book Release Slots; Your Diwali And Christmas 2020 Is Set To Be Super Entertaining
For the past three months, theatres have been shut due to the lockdown. No movie has been able to release as Government has strictly prohibited theatres from reopening. However, it seems that we shall soon get to enjoy our favourite films in theatres. Or, at least we know that our Diwali and Christmas is sorted as of now. Confused? Fret not, we will explain all. Akshay Kumar's cop-drama Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh's sports drama '83 have been scheduled to release in the theatres during festivals.

As per the latest tweet made by the theatre chain INOX, Sooryavanshi helmed by Rohit Shetty will release in Diwali while '83 directed by Kabir Khan will make it to the theatres in Christmas 2020. The tweet reads, "Mark your calendars! We are getting ready to bring you Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi on Diwali and Kabir Khan’s 83 on Christmas THIS YEAR!!" While we await an announcement from the makers, this tweet has made us jump out of joy.

Sooryavanshi that also stars Katrina Kaif was originally scheduled to release on March 24, but due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, the makers decided to postpone its release. Likewise, '83 that also stars Deepika Padukone was to hit the theatres on April 10, but that could not happen.

Earlier, to Hindustan Times, Kabir Khan had quoted that they will wait for a while to release their films even after the lockdown comes to an end. He said, "There are a lot of efforts, resources and energy that go into films and we would like people to enjoy our films. Both, Rohit and I, would want the audience to enjoy our films on the big screen and therefore we are ready to wait it out for things to get better. It’s not like the lockdown will open and we will throw our films to test the waters. No. We will wait till we’re comfortable."
