Jawaani Jaaneman actress Alaya F had a busy August as she shot for three films, which also included wrapping up a film with Anurag Kashyap
In 2020, Saif Ali Khan started the year with a bang as he played the antagonist in Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero. A few weeks later, he did a complete U-turn as a free-spirited middle-aged bachelor in Jawaani Jaaneman, who finds that he has a grown-up daughter. The role of that daughter was played by debutante Alaya F who, with her acing skills, impressed everyone and took the industry by storm.
It seemed like she would be on a roll after that, but sadly, the covid pandemic and the subsequent lockdown put everything on halt. However, as they say, better late than never. Alaya has had a dynamic last few months as towards June-end, she had her second film announcement with Ekta Kapoor’s U-Turn and then earlier this month, the filmmaker signed her again for Freddy opposite Kartik Aaryan. August proved to be a very busy month for the actress as she returned from completing the first schedule of U-Turn in Chandigarh to straightaway jump into the first schedule of Freddy. And now, SpotboyE.com has exclusively learnt that the actress squeezed in another film in between. In an earlier conversation with SpotboyE.com in April, Alaya had shared, “I still have five days of shoot left for my second films, that are left from before the lockdown. But soon there should be a few announcements. My fans should be seeing me this year on screen hopefully.” And now, we have details on that film.
It isn’t officially announced yet, but a source close to the development reveals that Alaya has finished shooting for a film with Anurag Kashyap, which was originally supposed to be her debut film. “Alaya had signed a film with Anurag even before signing Jawaani Jaaneman. However, as things had it, the film faced delays. She had completed almost the whole shoot for the film even before the pandemic, with just a few days of patchwork left. And this month, after returning from Chandigarh, Alaya completed the work on Anurag’s film in mid-August, while also working on Freddy. So, she has shot for three films in August,” reveals the source.
It might have taken a while due to covid, but Alaya seems to be on a professional roll now. Having two big announced projects with U-Turn and Freddy in her kitty, she also has the yet-unannounced film with Anurag Kashyap. Also, she has a three-film deal with Pooja Entertainment, her debut film producers, so the source shares that there should be a couple of more announcement to follow soon for the actress.
