Alia Bhatt Breaks Down At Kalank Teaser Launch; Also Reveals Why Varun And She Fought During The Shoot!
After releasing a series of interesting character posters, the makers of Kalank dropped the teaser this morning. At the launch event, the star cast- Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt braved questions posed by the media.

When producer Karan Johar asked Alia as to how does she feel to see the final product of Kalank, the actress growing emotional said, “Just sharing the stage with all these wonderful people, actors, it feels surreal. So, thank you Abhishek Varman and Karan Johar for bringing us all together. Genuinely, I’m going to try hard to be a little bit normal but it’s very difficult because I have a lot of love for my director, for my friend and we have put in a lot of effort, hard work into making this film happen. Every time I watch the visuals, it feels surreal. I just want to say that he is (Abhishek Varman) the nicest and the most amazing human being in the world. He’s so nice that I wish this film kills it, mostly and mainly only for him. He’s a lovely person and he deserves all the success and love in the world.”

Furthermore, Alia and Varun even spoke of an interesting incident when they had a fight. Here’s what exactly happened.

Madhuri Dixit who has replaced Sridevi in the film said, "To step into the role when you step as an actress is different. I missed her always on the set but when you begin working you look beyond. We, of course, miss her terribly." Finally, Karan Johar had some valuable words to describe the movie as he said, "Kalank kisi ke liye kaajal hai kisike liye dhabbaa (For some, its kohl, and for some, its a stain)... It's all about perception. For some, it's love, for some it's something else. THROUGH this film, you've got to decide whether Kalank is love or a taboo."

Kalank helmed by Abhishek Varman is slated to release on April 17, 2019.
