Alia Bhatt takes to her Instagram account to thank the body of Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences for inviting her to be part of 819 new members
Yesterday came news of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences inviting some Bollywood figures to be the members of the class of 2020 for the upcoming 93rd Academy Awards scheduled to take place on April 25, 2021. Well, now this included Alia Bhatt as well, indeed a moment of joy which she will cherish throughout her life. Today the Raazi actress taking to her Instagram account has thanked the body for this golden opportunity which will add another feather to her cap. She posted an image which has a note penned by the diva.
Sharing it with just a golden heart emojis, the actress has primarily thanked the body for inviting her to be a member of this prestigious award ceremony. She wrote in the note, “I feel at once honoured and humbled.” She went on to explain the deep satisfaction she feels that the Indian cinema making its way to the deserving platform and many Indian artistes related to this craft of filmmaking being honoured at the prestigious ceremony every year, she feels proud about it.
She also expressed that cinema is like water which finds its level irrespective of the society created division based on race, class, border and so on.
Speaking further of the people who love and hate cinemas, critics who pen their opinions on it and students who immerse themselves in this art form of entertainment, thus cinema being an element binding us together. On the concluding note, she mentioned how social media which is a powerful tool of the current generation meant to connect people is doing the inverse, hence movies act as a glue which binds us together. Each year the Academy invites artists from various countries to be their members. This year it sent out invites to 819 artists from around the globe. The member tally now stands at 9000 and these 9000 members will vast their vote for the prestigious awards night.
