The novel Coronavirus wiped off one-fourth of the population of India while the rest are still battling with the virus as well as for oxygen and hospital beds. However, amidst the chaos, Bollywood celebs are using their social media might to help the people who need help while celebs from the West or other parts of the world continue to send donations and prayers for the country. One of them is Pakistani star and Alia Bhatt’s Dear Zindagi co-star Ali Zafar who recently showed his support and prayed for the well-being of the people of India who are heavily affected by the second wave of COVID-19.

In an interview with an agency, Zafar said that Indians are facing tough times and many should understand humanity now. He then asserted that the people of Pakistan and he stand in solidarity with the country and pray for their wellbeing. Zafar said to IANS, “People of India, you are facing tough times and pain one cannot imagine. In Pakistan, too, people are troubled. Maybe these tough times will make us understand what humanity is, and the fact that there is nothing bigger than humanity. In these difficult times, the people of Pakistan and I stand with you and pray for your wellbeing.”

“We all are praying to God that our difficulties get resolved soon and there is happiness everywhere in India, Pakistan and everywhere else in the world. Let's all stand together and pray for each other during these difficult times,” he continued.


Ali Zafar even shared a video message on Instagram talking about the hard work that the labourers are doing during the crisis. He said, “Our #labourers are unsung heroes who don’t even get the admiration and wages they deserve. Let’s unite to express our love, respect and admiration for our labour workforce.”
