With many interesting films coming up this year, recently, the Box-Office clash between Amitabh Bachchan’s film Chehre and Abhishek Bachchan’s film Ludo was averted. Later, the Box-office clash between Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar’s film was also avoided, with Laal Singh Chaddha star trying his best in changing the release dates. Now, as per reports, after the dates of several releases being changed, the Box-Office clash between Alia Bhatt’s film RRR and Ranbir Kapoor- Sanjay Dutt starrer Shamshera has also been averted.
It’s good news for the Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor fans as the films RRR and Shamshera will not release on the same dates. Earlier, Alia’s RRR was slated for a July 30 release, whereas, Ranbir’s film Shamshera is slated for a July 31 release. Although both films had a different target audience, as per reports in Deccan Chronicle, according to a source, Bhatt’s South release RRR has been moved to the second week of January release. With Ajay Devgn also starring in ‘RRR’ alongside Alia Bhatt, the new date of release is a good one for his fans as well. The source has been quoted saying, "The release date of the Ranbir Kapoor-Sanjay Dutt starrer Shamshera was also announced long ago. The release of RRR, which also stars Alia Bhatt, was always being looked at from a south perspective and not a Bollywood one which is why the release date was on July 30 as opposed to Shamshera’s July 31. But now RRR has gone to the second week of January, which is again an interesting date. This year, Ajay Devgn’s film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior released on the second Friday and went on to be a whopping hit. Ajay also features in RRR and hence, it is a good date for Ajay fans as well."
Meanwhile, the question arises if filmmakers and producers have found the perfect date for their films to reach sky-high limits at the Box-Office. With Alia-Ranbir clash now averted at the box-office, we are surely happy along with all the fans of the lovebirds.
