Alia Bhatt Wraps Up Gangubai Kathiawadi, Calls The Sanjay Leela Bhansali Helmed Movie, ‘Gigantic Life Changing Experience’
Alia Bhatt on the wrap up on Gangubai Kathiawadi thanked the director, crew and her family in her Instagram note
Alia Bhatt has finally wrapped up her most ambitious project Gangubai Kathiawadi and announcing the same she penned a long note on her Instagram account. Sharing pictures with the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the entire crew, she termed the shooting experience for Gangubai Kathiwadi being a ‘gigantic life changing experience’. Beginning the film shoot on December 8, 2019, it took 2 years for the film to get completed. She mentioned the film faced a lot of trouble such as COVID-19 lockdown, cyclones and director-actor testing positive COVID-19.
She began her Instagram note with, “We started shooting Gangubai on the 8th of December 2019 .. and we wrapped the film now 2 years later! This film and set has been through two lockdowns.. two cyclones.. director and actor getting covid during the making!!! the troubles the set has faced is another film all together! But through all that and more.. what I take away is the gigantic life changing experience!” Further sharing working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali was her dream, credited the director for changing her as an individual after this film.
“Being directed by sir has been a dream all my life, but I don’t think anything would have prepared me for the journey I was on for these two years.. I walk out of this set a diff person today! I love you sir! Thank you for being you .. there is truly NO ONE like you,” added Alia.
Alia Bhatt with the wrap up of the film mentioned she would miss her onscreen character Gangu, “When a film ends a part of you ends with it! Today I’ve lost a part of me.. Gangu I love you! You will be missed” On the end note she thanked her crew and family member without whom the film won’t have been possible. “P.S - special mention to my crew - my family and friends for these two years! without you nothing would have been possible! Love you guys!!!,” mentioned Alia on the end note.
