Amarnath Yatra Attack: Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor Strongly Condemn The Ghastly Act

Jammu & Kashmir witnessed yet another terror attack when pilgrims returning from the Amarnath shrine were attacked by terrorists. 7 pilgrims have lost their lives while 12 are injured including 3 policemen.   

According to police officials, the militants attacked an armoured car of the police around 8:30 last evening. When the police fired back, the militants started firing arbitrarily and fled from the spot. "In the firing by militants, seven people, five of them women, were killed, and another seven injured," the official confirmed. The bus had come from Sonamarg.

Condemning the attack, Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and a few more have tweeted about the unfortunate incident.

Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, “Saddening to see innocent lives being taken. Prayers for the victims & may God give strength to the families of the #AmarnathYatra pilgrims”

Akshay Kumar wrote, “Attack on innocent #AmarnathYatra pilgrims is a low of another level! Angry and sad...prayers for all those affected.”

Varun Dhawan wrote, “Thoughts and prayers to the people who lost their families in the #AmarnathYatra attack. How can someone attack people on a peaceful path”

He also called Terrorists as cowards, “Totally shocked and disturbed with the news about the #AmarnathYatra. Don't understand how can such people exist. Terrorist are cowards”

Arjun Kapoor also expressed his disbelief, “Shocked & Disturbed by the news of the amaranth yatra terrorist attack...my prayers with the victims & their families... #AmarnathYatra”

Anupam Kher expressed his emotions in a series of tweets. He tweeted, "Terrorist attack on the pilgrims of #AmaranthYatra is most shameful & cowardly act. Security forces should wipe out these terrorists."

He continued, "It is high time we Stop being diplomatic & defensive. Killing of innocent people should be dealt with total force. #AmarnathYatra"

His final tweet on the same read, "My heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of terrorist attack. May God give them strength to deal with this unexpected loss."

Taapsee Pannu wrote, "#AmaranthYatraAttack surely stemmed out of a coward brain and a cold heart! Sad."

Randeep Hooda tweeted, "What purpose could this cowardly violence lead to..condolences to the families of the ones lost  hunt the responsible down #AmarnathYatra"

Ajay Devgn tweeted, "Terrorism is the height of cowardice. Prayers for the victims in Amarnath."

While PM Narendra Modi is deeply shocked and saddened by the incident, emergency meetings are being held to nab the terrorists who fled after the attack.
