Ameesha Patel Slams Zakir Khan’s ‘Bollywood Jealous’ Remark On Dhurandhar 2 Success: “Stop Spreading Negativity”
Actress Ameesha Patel has reacted strongly to comedian Zakir Khan’s recent remark suggesting that Bollywood was “jealous” of the massive success of *Dhurandhar 2*, starring Ranveer Singh. The controversy began during an award show where Zakir, while hosting, joked that despite public praise, the industry was secretly uncomfortable with the film’s popularity. His now-viral line implied that while the “explosion” happened elsewhere, the “smoke” was felt in Mumbai’s elite Bollywood circles.

Responding to this, Ameesha took to social media and urged him to avoid spreading negativity. She emphasized that the Hindi film industry has always respected and celebrated successful films rather than envying them. In her post, she wrote, “Dude, stop spreading negativity! The film industry has valued and respected Dhurandhar,” reinforcing her stance against Zakir’s claim.

The actress further backed her argument by highlighting the long-standing success of Bollywood’s biggest stars. She pointed out that icons like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sunny Deol, Hrithik Roshan, and Ajay Devgn have delivered more than 25 mega hits each over the years. According to her, such consistent achievements prove that the industry has always thrived on success and mutual appreciation rather than insecurity.

Ameesha also stressed that *Dhurandhar 2* has received immense appreciation from within the industry itself, contradicting the idea of jealousy. She added that Bollywood has been creating blockbuster moments for decades and will continue to do so in the future.

Meanwhile, Zakir Khan’s comment—though intended humorously—sparked mixed reactions online and within the film fraternity. Filmmaker Siddharth Anand also criticized the statement, calling it unfair to undermine the industry’s contributions.

Despite the debate, *Dhurandhar 2* continues its historic run at the box office, crossing major milestones and becoming one of India’s highest-grossing films, further fueling conversations around its impact.
