Amid Their Ongoing Feud, Anurag Kashyap Reacts To An Old Video Of Kangana Ranaut Supporting His Film Bombay Velvet; Says, 'I Am Not Her Enemy'
Days after criticising her, Anurag reshares an old video of Kangana Ranaut defending his film Bombay Velvet and says that she always stood for him.
Not very long ago, Kangana Ranaut and Anurag Kashyap, who were once the best of friends, got involved in a war of words on Twitter. It all happened after the Queen actress, in her controversial interview with Republic TV, targetted a streak of Bollywood biggies while holding them responsible for Sushant Singh Rajput's demise. Kashyap wasn't very impressed with the same and schooled her on social media. Now, a social media user tagged Anurag on an old video that sees Kangana supporting his film Bombay Velvet, which was a huge disaster, while interacting with Irrfan Khan. The user accused Anurag of backstabbing Kangana, despite her being so supportive of him.
In the video, Kangana could be heard saying, "I have to give an example of the latest release, Bombay Velvet. It’s my friend’s movie and it didn’t do well. I have seen this happen a lot. How everyone became so venomous and so evil. It is heartbreaking to an extent that you feel you want to leave this place. I don’t understand how critics and people get so personal." She added, " can say one thing. His intention was to make a sincere film for you all. It doesn’t always happen. Sabhi chuk jaate hai, hum bhi chuk jayenge kabhi (Everyone misses the mark, we will also miss the mark at some point). But I want to know what is so frustrating that everyone is just out to kill one person. This is one thing I would like to change about our industry - they get too personal with comments, gossip and reviews."
The user who shared this video, tagged Anurag and wrote, “This is how #KanganaRanaut defended you @anuragkashyap72 after Bombay Velvet’s failure. But you were digging her 9-10 year old videos to prove her wrong.” Anurag reposted the clip and defended himself saying, “Absolutely she did . She always stood by me . I am not her enemy . You all are . The people who are using her are.”

Some days ago, Anurag had slammed Kangana saying that he doesn't like this version of her. In return, her team called him 'mini Mahesh Bhatt' by writing, "Here is mini Mahesh Bhatt telling Kangana she is all alone and surrounded by fake people who are using her, anti nationals, urban naxals the way they protect terrorists now protecting movie mafia."
