Amitabh Bachchan just added one more feather to his cap. An announcement by I&B Minister of India Prakash Javadekar of the actor to be conferred with prestigious award Dadasaheb Phalke Award this year, took the internet by storm. Congratulatory messages poured in from his fellow colleagues and even the younger celebs on the social media platforms. His son Abhishek Bachchan penned a tweet expressing how proud he was of his father while daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda, shared an old image of her father congratulating him. Now comes a wish from his old colleague and co-star of his several movies Shatrughan Sinha, raising several eyebrows.

Big and Shotgun had been in news for their hot-cold equation. The veteran actor in conversation with ANI, was heard appreciating the actor for his caliber, performance and maturity. Further mentioning how his roles and films gave the film industry a lot more than expected. He further wished him luck and success for his upcoming ventures.

He was quoted saying, “Amitabh Bachchan is already a personality of high calibre in terms of his career, experience, performance, durability, seniority, maturity. Over time, he has given a lot to the cinema with his roles, and films. He is a good friend of mine and also an old colleague. I pray him good luck and wish that he continues to soar the grandeur of success in his life.”

This came as a pleasant surprise as it was after the release of Shatrughan Sinha’s biography titled, Anything But Khamosh: The Shatrughan Sinha Biography that revealed a few unpleasant things about Big B, reportedly their friendship had turned sour. Looks like the stars have let bygones be bygones.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan has an interesting line up of work, including Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Brahmastra, Chehre and Gulabo Sitabo.
