Amitabh Bachchan Donates Rs 2 Crore To Delhi's Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care Centre And Arranges Oxygen Concentrators
Given India's current situation due to Coronavirus, many celebrities are coming forward and doing their bit to help people in need. Sonu Sood, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Bhumi Pednekar, Anushka Sharma, Twinkle Khanna, Sushmita Sen among others have been helping with hospital beds, medicines, oxygen cylinders and more. During this difficult time, Amitabh Bachchan has now made a donation of Rs two crore to Delhi's Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid care centre.

Apart from the donation, Amitabh Bachchan has also arranged oxygen cylinders from abroad for the facility. The president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management committee Manjinder Singh Sirsa thanked Big B for his contribution and said that Big B called Sikhs legendary. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, "Sikhs are Legendary सिखों की सेवा को सलाम” These were the words of @SrBachchan Ji when he contributed Rs 2 Cr to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care Facility. While Delhi was grappling for Oxygen, Amitabh Ji called me almost daily to enquire about the progress of this Facility."

On Sunday, Big B dropped a glimpse of Vax Live event on his Twitter handle, where he urged the global citizens to help India fight COVID-19 pandemic. In the video, he can be heard saying, "Namaskar, this is Amitabh Bachchan. My country India is battling with the sudden surge of the second wave of Covid-19. As a global citizen I appeal to all global citizens to rise up, speak to your governments, pharmaceutical companies and ask them to donate, to give, to extend a helping hand, to the public that needs it the most. Every effort counts. As Mahatma Gandhiji said, "In a gentle way you can shake the world" Thank you."

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in Chhere. Other than that, he will be seen alongside Neena Gupta and Rashmika Mandanna in Goodbye. A few weeks ago, Big B replaced late Rishi Kapoor in The Intern.
