Amitabh Bachchan Reveals He Celebrated Holi Sitting By Himself In Silence; Says He Prays For The Coronavirus Situation To Improve
Many Bollywood celebrities took to their social media handles and gave fans a glimpse into their Holi celebrations this year. Talking about Amitabh Bachchan, Big B shared a throwback picture on his Instagram, featuring wife Jaya Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan. In the picture, Big B can be seen doused in colours and smiling, as Jaya Bachchan placed Abhishek Bachchan on his shoulders. Sharing the picture, Big B wished everyone a Happy Holi.

The Chhere actor now took to his blog and revealed how he celebrated the festival of colours this year. Big B wrote that he spent the festival of colours sitting by himself in silence. "The streets are silent... the drums and the singing of the celebrations remain muted... nothing moves... the festival is shrouded.. and the desolation among all..." He further added that nature has changed it all and is demanding respect. Big B also added that he misses past celebrations and that no amount of watching web series' or reading pending scripts can relieve him of the vacant feeling that he is experiencing."

Adding to that, Big B wrote that most of his family is away on work and that he connected with them over FaceTime. Big B also prayed for the situation to normalise, as 'the numbers rise alarmingly... the tales of the destitute fill the hearts with pain."

A few days ago, Amitabh Bachchan hinted that he will receive the first dose of Coronavirus vaccine as soon as he recovers from his eye surgery. In his blog, Big B wrote, "There is now the fear of another strain getting free box office results and that is unnerving... the vaccination has become mandatory and soon there shall be the conditioning for yours truly to be one such in the queue."
