Hours after Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan announced they had tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus, reports suggest that they are in a ‘stable’ condition. Amitabh Bachchan shared a picture of himself, believed to be from Nanavati Hospital, on his Instagram page late last night. Abhishek Bachchan, meanwhile shared a health update with his fans, urging them to “stay calm and not panic.” As per reports, Nanavati Hospital would not be releasing a periodic health bulletin on the superstar. The 77-year-old mega star will stay in touch with his fans via Twitter, sharing regular updates.
Meanwhile, as per a report in Republic World, both the veteran actor and his son, will undergo a swab test for Coronavirus today. They were admitted to the hospital and kept under observation, in self-isolation, after their antigen test conducted at a private lab came positive. Both the father and son, showed mild symptoms and as per latest reports are in ‘stable’ condition.
Meanwhile, doctors had told India Today that Amitabh Bachchan was asymptomatic and had been self-isolating at his house before being admitted to Nanavati Hospital. It was further reported that the Hospital authorities would not be issuing health bulletins from their end, rather, the Bachchan family will update people in due course of time.
Being a responsible citizen, Amitabh Bachchan had shared the result of his COVID-19 test with his fans and followers on Twitter, urging those who had come in close contact with him to undergo a test. “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !,” read his tweet.
