16 years of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s masterpieces, Black, got the stars associated with the film penning messages on social media. Amitabh Bachchan who played the lead role in the movie taking to his social media accounts also penned down a message appreciating the film being way ahead of time. Also, he shared how each dialogue, every little detail in the movie was beautifully crafted so much so that it left an impact on everyone’s heart and even his.  

Big B also shared two movie stills along with his tweet, his tweet read, “T 3804 - Black...a movie way ahead of its time. Every dialogue, every instance in the movie was so beautifully crafted, that it has engraved its existence in everyone's heart, including mine. #16YearsOfBlack #RaniMukerji #SanjayLeelaBhansali @bhansali_produc” Released in 2005, the movie bagged a lot of awards for the lead actors Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan. Me Bachchan won the National Film Award and the film won awards in best cinematography, direction, costume and more.

Rani on this occasion thanking the creative maverick Sanjay Leela Bhansali, said, “Sanjay fulfilled his promise because I actually went through intense training and learning the sign language and interacting with all the impaired people for 6 months and that’s how I was able to then get into the character of Michelle.”

Speaking about the time when she was offered the role of Michelle, she said, “I think at first I was very reluctant to do the film when Sanjay offered me the role. Not because I had any doubts about the film or the character as such because working with Bhansali is a dream for any actor. I had already been a huge fan of his after watching Devdas.
