South superstar Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer 'Liger' was one of the most highly-awaited films of this year. The action drama created a massive buzz with the actors promoting the film on a grand scale. However, it has failed to win the hearts of audience and is receiving negative reviews. While Vijay is being applauded for his brilliant performance, Ananya’s acting in the film has miffed and upset netizens. She is being brutally trolled for her ‘bad’ acting in Liger.

Some users are so angry with her performance that they requested filmmakers to stop casting her in movies. #AnanyaPandey is trending on social media with users slamming the actress. While taking a dig at Ananya, one netizen tweeted, “#liger is definitely a bad movie. This is not the first time that Ananya Panday has got trolled. She often comes under the radar of netizens for one or other things. Chunky Panday's daughter was also called a 'product of nepotism' when she made her debut with Karan Johar's film Student of the Year 2. 

Meanwhile, directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film saw Vijay essaying the role of an MMA fighter who struggles with a speech disorder. The film marked the Bollywood debut of the Arjun Reddy star. It is being said that in the wake of Vijay’s statement on boycott trends, the film’s collection at the box office slowed down. Reportedly, the Telugu and Tamil versions of the film earned Rs 25 crore worldwide and it is said to be a below-par opening for a film. ‘Liger’ was released on 25th August 2022.
